It’s true, people like to drink in Boulder. Distillery tours are a great way for you to learn how your drinks are made. We guide you through the process of how we craft the finest bourbon whiskey, gin, and vodka around.

Boulder Distillery

DV8 is a Boulder distillery that embraces the radical expression of self. It's a place where you’re free to be weird; a place reminiscent of a long-past, yet romanticized, Boulder. Bourbon whiskey flows from our stills, as does gin, vodka, and other spirit-infused drinks.

These drinks complement a wide range of events, like sultry raves, art installations, bands, comedy shows, and drag exhibitions. Keep scrolling right to know more about how we’re creating a spot for you to be your truest, most hedonistic self.

Whiskey

The single barrel whiskey distilled at our location smells of vanilla and spice, with notes of lemongrass and cherry. It’s aged for a minimum of a year in barrels of American oak and is 100% rice, making it Colorado’s only rice whiskey. Clocking in at a smooth 84 proof, it can be consumed neat, or in a cocktail. 

However, sometimes you need something a little more traditional while you’re partying. Bourbon whiskey might be the answer to that. Apple, coffee, molasses, toffee, rye, and fresh fruit define our signature Straight Five Grain Whiskey - the only 5-grain whiskey distilled in Colorado. Our recipe is aged for 2 years in American oak barrels, giving it a robust, dry flavor. You can freaky with this neat, or inside a classy cocktail. Up to you.

Vodka

DV8 Vodka has hints of fresh fruit, anise, and toasted marshmallow, distilled with 100% medium-grain Calrose rice grown in CA. It’s distilled 13x in single batches and unfiltered, which adds to its viscosity. DV8 Vodka is Colorado’s only 100% rice-based, gluten-free vodka.

Works excellent inside vodka martinis, or as straight shots if you’re trying to get filthy. 

If you want something a little more unique, we have the vodka for you. Our DV8 Earl Grey Vodka is just what it sounds like - a vodka infused with The Boulder Tea Company’s earl grey tea. This has notes of bergamot, a pleasant amount of astringency, and black tea. Tastes damn good with lemonade.

Gin

DV8 Gin is a new age, wet style gin. It is herbal, floral, and spicy, while simultaneously juicy, light and smooth. Our gin is distilled fourteen times over in single batches. It’s unfiltered for increased consistency.

Cardamom, juniper, blood orange, cassia, lavender, coriander, orris root, angelica, rosemary, cubeb peppers make up its flavor profile.

Consume it in your favorite gin-based cocktail, or drink it neat.

Queer Bar In Boulder

If you’re looking for an LGBTQ-friendly bar, then you’re in the right place! While not really known for its gay bars, Boulder is known for being open-minded. That’s why we decided to create a space where the vibes are welcoming to everyone - especially LGBTQ. 

While we aren’t exclusively an LGBTQ bar (we try to cater to hedonists who just want to get down), there isn’t another bar like this in our city. Queer bars have long been a hub for connecting the LGBTQ community, and we want to be a place where LGBTQ, and all other dispositions, can drink bourbon whiskey, single-barrel whiskey, gin, and other spirits together.

To note, the owners aren't gay, so we aren't saying we're a gay bar in Boulder per se. We are queer though, where we like both guys and girls, but mainly date women.  

DV8 is a place where open-minded people can dance the night away to the pulse of Colorado’s finest DJs, or laugh until they cry to the best comedy in Boulder. Spirits will be lifted at DV8 - a place where everyone can be free to be themselves.
